When I was I kid we wrote a play, spent hours in the basement with chairs and sheets drawn across them to make a curtain for our backdrop or our puppet stage. The parents and grandparents all gathered in the chairs we set up along the basement wall. The play began… about 2 minutes later… the play was over. Today a cheap video camera will run you $20 or less. Everyone can now be a movie producer. You can watch the play over and over and over… Hmmmpf.
This camp will teach students how to take their recordings and build a video presentation (movie) with it. We will use a free open-source software, KDENLIVE, that you can install at home on most any computer.
